A recent two-day training programme held by world-renowned Scarecrow Bio-acoustic Systems Ltd, based in Uckfield, attracted delegates from as far away as Brazil. Held at the newly refurbished Wealden Skills Centre in the Bellbrook Business Park in Uckfield, the 20 plus delegates from Spain, Italy, Portugal and Lithuania, Latvia and Brazil, learnt the benefits of new technological advances in humane bird dispersal.

The seminars, held twice yearly, cover topics such as integrated bird management, aircraft bird strike avoidance, fully automatic fixed installations and, importantly, the fundamentals of bird behaviour.
